When Keurig^® K-Cup^® pods need to be recycled, it is important to note they may not be recyclable in your area. To help work through this issue, we invite our clients to participate in the free K-Cycle^® Commercial Recycling Program. It’s a simple concept that follows these steps:

• Your Van Houtte Coffee Services representative provides you with our program-branded self-collection bin and clear plastic bags.
• You drop your used Keurig^® K-Cup^® pods – and only those – in the bag inside the bin.
• Once it’s full, you inform your representative to come collect the bag*, and replace it.
• The pods are shipped to Emterra Group, our recycling partner who collects them, separates their components, composts the coffee grounds and recycles the plastic.

Keurig^® K-Cup^® pods are made from #5 plastic, which is a valuable and in-demand material. By collecting Keurig^® Genuine K-Cup^® pods only, you help reduce the risk of contamination and ensure that our pods will be effectively recycled to their fullest value—extending our product’s lifespan.

*For health and hygiene purposes, we recommend that the bags be replaced at least once a month.
